Chapter 9 - Echoes of the Past

Subuhi woke up the next morning with a heavy heart. She couldn't shake off the feeling of dread that had settled in her since the nightmare. It had been a long time since she had dreamt about the past, and the vividness of it had startled her.

She had thought that she had moved on from the trauma of her past, but the dream had brought it all back to the forefront of her mind. The wounds that she thought had healed had been reopened, and she didn't know how to deal with it.

She tried to shake off the feeling by going about her day as usual, but the heaviness stayed with her. She found herself lost in thought, her mind going back to the events of her past. She couldn't help but wonder if her nightmare was a sign, a warning of some sort.

As the day wore on, she found herself avoiding her phone, not wanting to face her husband's questions about the previous night. She couldn't bear the thought of telling him about the dream, of reliving the past once again.

Instead, she turned to writing, using her words as a way to cope with the emotions that were overwhelming her. As she wrote, she found a sense of release, a way to let go of the pain that had resurfaced.

The echoes of the past had come back to haunt her, but she was determined to face them head-on. She knew that the only way to move forward was to confront the past, to acknowledge the pain, and to find a way to heal.

As the night fell, Subuhi found herself looking up at the stars, the same stars that had witnessed the events of her past. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, letting go of the pain, and embracing the present.

The echoes of the past may linger, but Subuhi was determined to write a new story, a story of healing, of hope, and of moving forward.
